The main objective of the project is to use the existing remote sensing technology to aid the data collection for marine pollution. The following tasks are achieved in the project. A marine GIS, which contains satellite images and 38 digital maps of the marine regions off the coast of Taiwan. A database management system, which collected the information of equipments and experts related to oil-pollution response. A web-based system, which provides an internet environment for reporting oil-pollution cases and searching the exisiting equipments for response. A balloon system, which collects remote sensing images from a low-level sky. The marine exercise, which uses the remote sensing technologies to practice the data collection techniques for marine oil-pollution.
